Educational
Our Educational Programs empower families, educators, and community members with the knowledge and tools to support individuals with Down syndrome. Through workshops, webinars, and community partnerships, we provide valuable resources that promote inclusion, independence, and lifelong learning.
Buddy Walk®
The annual Buddy Walk®, affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), is our largest community event celebrating inclusion, awareness, and acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome. Families, friends, and supporters come together for a day of fun, unity, and advocacy — raising both funds and awareness to support our mission year-round.
New Parent Outreach
Our New Parent Outreach Program welcomes families who have recently received a Down syndrome diagnosis — as well as families who are new to the Roanoke area — with warmth, understanding, and support. We connect parents with resources, other families, and community connections to ensure every family feels encouraged and never alone on their journey.
We Play Through Golf Academy
The We Play Through Golf Academy offers individuals with Down syndrome the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of golf in a supportive, inclusive environment. Participants build confidence, develop motor skills, and foster friendships while learning from experienced coaches who adapt lessons for every ability level.
