Our Mission
The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke (DSAR) provides advocacy and recreational activities for individuals with Down syndrome as well as educational opportunities and support for their families, caregivers and the professionals who provide medical, therapeutic, and instructional services.
Since my son was 3 months old the DSAR has welcomed my family to such a amazing supportive community. The DSAR has helped me learn how to
advocate for my child, stand up for him and others in our community with disabilities. I am so grateful for the lifelong friendships my son and our family has made all because of the DSAR.

The buddy walk means a lot to me because my best buddy is my brother Christopher and he has Down
